Introduction
p-Coumaric acid is a natural precursor of phenylpropanoid compounds, which has anti-UVB (290-320nm absorption peak), tyrosinase inhibition and SIRT1 activation anti-aging properties. It has a small molecular weight (164.16Da) and is easy to penetrate the skin. The maximum concentration allowed in the EU cosmetics catalog is 1.5%.
